Ever since my dad died I've been slowly losing my passion for drawing, and I hate it.
I don't know how to fix this...

beating myself up
over the fact that I'm a wreck, professionally and personally. I have my nursing school entrance exam in a month and I've been studying for weeks now. Today, I...
i'm so, so sorry you're experience this loss. all good things in time. you will mourn and things will hurt, but be gentle with yourself; remember that you have to live for yourself while you're here...these days that you have are your own, they don't exist for someone else, even someone you loved very much. it's a cliche, but your dad wouldn't have wanted you to give up something that you love--especially something that keeps you going, like art--because of him. he would support you and your passion every step of the way. remember you are not alone. seek your friends, the people you love. your memory and your love for your father won't go away. remember that anyone you loved and have loved and who loves and loved you wants the best for you, so give yourself a chance to do the best for yourself for them. your passion for drawing will return in time. you are in my thoughts.
ReplyIt will be fixed. No worries. When my dad died, I lost my interest in things I loved too. It's just a part of working through the process. It's just a part of grief. You'll be ok. I'm so sorry you lost your dad too.
ReplySlowly start drawing again... Drawing can express emotions... you can spend up to just 2 minutes drawing (I usually spend up to 8 hours drawing, because I draw memories that I enjoyed) Draw things that resemble your dad, Or something YOU enjoy.
