Word by word, the bricks pile higher,
Each, more aimlessly thrown than the one before,
Confidence turns to questioning,
Questioning turns to walls
Walls that were thrown together,
To block emotion, to block pain,
And to block the world from seeing what goes on
Behind a human wall
When the lights are off,
And the cement sets in,
Nothing but darkness, fear and the realisation that you are alone.
Alone in a world full of people,
That are cruel and malicious.
A world full of people that do not care
whether you can be helped or
whether your wall can be broken.
Sometimes I wonder how Iām so alone,
In a world full of people, smiling and having fun.
Everybody has somebody but me.
I am alone, in a world full of people, smiling and having fun.
