You were a gift
From you to me
Something so innocent
Yet so deadly
Your tree horns to piers my
Body
Mind
And soul
So light
But the weight you carry
Heavier than what my heart
Can take
Your don’t say a word
Maybe I should have spoke more
Whisper sweet nothings
But now nothing can be said
Yess these eyes
These lifeless eyes that contrasts
The raw emotion
Yours had
A tail
Small and thin
But it leaves a trail
A trail that peers into our past
The life that died
Stuck to you like green moss
Growing slowly till it engulfs
You whole
And holding you is pale
Noting like what it was
Now numb and emotionless
But the memory still lingers
You have no fingers
No hands to hold
Just four paws
But the feeling still lingers
You sit quietly
The smell of you still in the room
But all of you is now only
A small dinosaur 🦖
