she hurt,
she was breaking,
to a point where it was unclear if she could piece every last part of herself together again.
“strength”, the girl said,
“i wish for you.
would you find me,
though my voice is small and hidden,
would you find me,
at least meet me?
all i ask is for a chance.”
all along,
strength had surrounded her,
and even when she had not remembered his name,
he grasped her hand and pulled her through the wind.
in front of her she saw struggle,
a wall unpassable alone.
each time as she reached for strength, it accompanied her.
as she now asked, wished for a meeting,
strength only feared she would then discover that she,
she could get through anything.
it was her own strength all along.
she empowered him,
only believing it was not her own strength.
but in her weakness each time,
somehow, she found strength.
and although she was breaking,
she got no meeting.
but with everything in her,
she grasped onto the hand of her strength in all its boldness,
and placed her pieces together again,
unaware that one day she would discover that she had always found a strength inside of her.
she was strong,
she was hurt,
she was breaking.
every time though, she would escape.
