How unimaginable it is to see your own father murder your mother at age 9.
Your father being arrested for 1st degree murder.
Raised with an abusive uncle.
Sold into human trafficking in an Arabian country for 6 years.
A man saving you at age 15.
That man ends up adopting you as a father.
Now at age 16, you're just starting to live.
Your childhood taken up by others.
But hopefully, the teen years will go by by finding a true friend?
But how.
It's just been one year, and things replay.
Again
And again
And again....
From your mom
To your uncle
To your painful years
With your adoptive father reminding you of things you don't want to remember.
All I need is a friend now.
And some positive memories....
Now I live in the US.
But
It's weird being in a school with you being the oldest.
And teased by young ones, on why you haven't been to school for this long.

Speaking in Words
It's been 5 years now and I still refuse to tell anyone about my pain. I've tried to in the past and it seemed like no one got it. They didn't even give me advi...
just ignore them. I, on behalf of all the nice kids in the U.S., am proud someone as strong and amazing as you is joining our community. If I knew who you were, if I was more than just a person trying to help you from behind a screen, I would really like to be your friend.
The life you describe, which I am going to assume is yours, sounds terrible. I wish there was a way to wipe the memories away.
If your adoptive dad tries to remind you, just block the words and thoughts out as best you can. Try to distract yourself. Don't listen to the bad thoughts. Remember how strong and capable you are.
Stay amazing. I wish I could help more.
With Love,
Linny (the very anxious nerd)
