There's a classic way my brother and I make decisions, it's called "Eenie meenie miny moe, catch a tiger by a toe".
We use this to choose what to submit to the national science fair, what park to go to, what to order.
Does it work? Cause this is some serious matter and what if I get to chose something and might regret it later?
I was just playing around with you, I commented a couple of differences between architecture and engineering, I hope that helps :)
Write a pros and cons list for both. And you should choose which you like more. One which you find more inclined towards.
How about architectural engineering?
=Build public or private structures
=Focus on the aesthetic principles of design. In school, you will take more art-related classes and fewer engineering-and science-related classes.
=Acquire the relevant certifications in the field of architecture
=Artistic, creative, theoretical, thinker (Uses the right hemisphere of the brain)
=Strategic artist, interpreting the desires into the vision, what+why
=Average base pay $56,737 in the US (Date collected: June 11, 2019)
=Lowest base pay $45K in the US (Date collected: June 11, 2019)
=Highest base pay $72K in the US (Date collected: June 11, 2019)
=Build public or private structures, with a focus on public structures.
=Focus on science and engineering, you will take fewer art-related classes and learn a lot more engineering and physics than you would if you majored in architecture
=Acquire the relevant certifications in the field of civil engineering
=Precise, mathematical, system builder (Uses the left hemisphere of the brain)
=Structural, interpreting the vision into the implementation plan, how

Notice that the pay varies on the type of degree you hold, the branch of the field, and the specific state or whose under you work for. There are many factors that is important to evaluate when selecting a career path, but choose what works best for you under your circumstances as I am able to teach you how to think, but not what to think.
I will be graduating high school next year, which is why I may not be the best person you can discuss your career path with; however, you may be able to discuss this with a counselor or someone you know who is aiming for a similar field and what made THEM decide THEIR decision. I hope this helps start your decision making.
Theyre both complex jobs. Whatever you think youd enjoy most.
