So pretty much my sister always takes over everything and I’m just tired of how she is the favorite and anything I say is wrong. And we have this dog that I’m barely able to see! So when I say something I GET IN TROUBLE. I always knew my family hated me for being me but this is just annoying. I have 5 years until I graduate and get out of here. It’s to the point I’m not longer happy at home!

ReplyI'm sorry to hear about your situation, to no longer be happy at home. I totally understand how that feels. Favoritism and bias in the family can really cause relationship struggles among siblings, parents, and other family members.
Now, what you can only do in this situation is change your own reactions. In the end, as much as you want to, you alone can't change how our parents or siblings feel about you. You can encourage them, but in the end, it's their choice to change. What you can do is look toward the future. Think about what you want in five years, even if it is to improve your relationship with your family. Plan out how you're going to get there and be stable. And then take each step day by day.
When you said, "when I say something I GET IN TROUBLE. I always knew my family hated me for being me," what kinds of things would you be saying to them, or what kinds of things would you do for "being [you]", that would get you in trouble?
