A memory from 7 years ago on FB showed up. It was of a memorial service of a deceased friend. This person was really irritating more often than not, but he had a lot of mental problems. He was also one of the most loving/giving people. He was homeless often and often gave people his money to help them out, even if it left him broke. I only kept his number in my phone so I knew not to answer when he called. He's dead and I can't apologize for not being nice to him. Be kind as you never know when your (or their) "dance card" is going to be pulled. You don't have to believe in God to follow this. You can be an atheist and still put love first:
1 Cornthians 13: 4-8:
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
