My best friend wants to move in next year. I am a college student and living in a dorm. I love it. I love being on campus and using my meal plan. I don't know if I want to live so far away. We go to two different colleges and they are about 35 minutes apart. We would be getting an apartment in the middle. Which would take me approx 15-20 to get to my university? I don't know what to do or what to tell her. I for sure want to live with her but maybe not in this way. I don't know what I would tell my family or how they would react. Help?

You are already living in a good place, with meals at that! How is your best friend's living condition? If she wants to move in 'just for fun' or 'just because', I guess don't do it. But if she is currently living in a bad place, then help her.
ReplyShe kind of is. It's a very long story but her guardian just told her she was kicked out then said if she does something then she can come back. She doesn't have a stable place to stay. It's not really just for fun or just because. It's because we would love to live together and she deserves a stable place with a person who wouldn't randomly kick her out. Her life has been through hell and I don't know how to tell her that I am not sure about it. We have even looked through apartments and chosen a place that we would love to stay.
ReplyFrom my experience, most people actually don't like living on campus as much nearer to the end of the year. I live off campus (about a 12 minute drive) and it's awesome. I live with my brother, who is basically my best friend, in a small apartment. It may seem like a long stretch, but it can be very nice to be able to be away from the school. I would really think about, or if it's not too late, try and see if your best friend can transfer colleges, but that may be extreme.
ReplyIf she can't get into her nursing program at her college then she is going to try and transfer to my school for teaching. I really hope she does because it would solve all of my worries.
Replydiscuss the problem with her first don't!!!
let your worry doubt and judgment ruin something that may be good.
