Just that girl.

She's that girl that lights up the room with her smile. She's that girl who's been through hell, but came out of it an Angel. She's that girl who is the happiest she knows from a mile. She jumps whenever she gets excited, she sings whenever she gets in the spirit, and she dances weirdly. But sometimes, time seems to stop in her head. Something ticks and turns. Something automatically flicked off, her glowing expression suddenly lost. The sadness set in. You can see it in her, like as if it's some sort of disease. Her expression is blank, as if she's spaced out and reality never mattered. Like she never mattered. Her eyes were cold. She lost that diamond sparkle everyone adored. It's empty like outer space, staring into nothing. You don't know what's happening inside her. You can't tell what wars are being fought and what demons are re-invading her soul, every healed scar being bruised again. She's all alone. But she's always been alright all alone. Perhaps one day she will win her battles. She will calm the raging sees inside of her and out will sing the Angels. She will outcast the darkness and pick apart the sadness. She'll be alright because she's a warrior. She will know she matters more than anything that ever mattered. That blank face and hurting heart will go away. One day she'll look up at you with that small smile, and she'll say what's on her mind instead of saying everything's always fine.

I was listening to "my demons by starset" and I can say both this post and the song go wonderful and so true.
