ReplyI been to it two times. One for depression, one for anxiety. You either go to their office and sit in therapist's room or therapist comes to your house and have them sit in any room or area that you are most comfortable in. All you do is just talk to therapist about your problems and they ask you questions or they explain what you said to have them. Some of them give you homework to do, some of them give you rewards. It just depends who you go to.

Replyi am curious as well it seems sort of intimidating.... what do you talk about? what if you don't feel comfortable talking about something ?
ReplyThe best advice that I can give you from my own experience and others who have given me advice is that you need to go in knowing what you want to achieve. You need to be open to your therapist and actually want change for your therapist to actually help you. I was afraid that my problem was not serious but I've learnt that if it is hurting me so much, then it is a big deal and I should get support and help. Sometimes you may meet a therapist that does not provide you with the help that you want or may not understand what you need. It is normal to find other therapists who is fit for you.
