I was a prostitute on and off for almost 4 years. I was lead into it by I man I thought loved me. But for the majority of the time I worked independently. It’s not that I enjoyed it, it’s just after a while it was the easiest option. And the more time you spend doing it the harder it is to get out.
Growing up I had always wanted to be a actress and even went to drama school but an abusive relationship let me to drop out.
After leaving prostitution I decided to reconnect with my passion as a hobby. I recently helped an old school friend with a showcase. The performance got me attention with some talent scouts but I’m scared of my past getting out.
The online world makes it easy for people to send hate from across the other side of the world and this scares me. I’m scared it will make my family so ashamed our relationship will be forever changed. I’m scared no matter how good I am my past will stop my career in its track. I am scared for my mental health.
But will I always regret not chasing my dreams?
Do you think the world wold be able to get past my sordid past?

Well I would not hold it against anyone. Most if not all are victims. Also you have consider the possibility of online bullying.
If someone obtained a picture of you while with your lover could falsely advertise you as if you were one when in fact you were not one.
An ex could do this in order for you to not get a job, boy friend, or to ruin your life.
Some could do this falsely hoping to get you dependent on them or hoping you would go that route.
I would first ask if it was true and even if it was a number of things could have pushed you in that direction.
As for being famous as in an actress it wouldn't probably hurt your chances.
I do believe if anyone purposely advertised you in that manner and it wasn't true then that person should be put behind bars and put on the news for doing such a thing.
Most are forced into such things and even threatened so no I would not.

ReplyIf people aren't aware of your past as a prostitute, there isn't anything that you should worry about and focus on your goals. The chances of people finding out are slim, unless you have a vindictive person from your past, which knows about it and decides to use it against you.
There are many horrible people in the online world who will dig into your life for dirt and try to obtain personal information about you. Journalists do this, in attempts to find anything which deems news worthy and it's the same with other drama platforms etc...
Celebrities deal with alot of bullsh*t when it comes to the media and journalists, but they still diligently get through it. You're understand no obligation to admit to anything, if someone tries to confront you about being a prostitute, in your case.
If someone tries to expose you of doing prostitution, you can always file a report to police, with evidence and charge that person for defamation. Check with your law where you live, find out more about cases in regards to harassment, stalking, defamation, intimidation and more. People spread lies so often, they wouldn't know what's the truth and what's not these days.
It makes me often question about why do people feel the need to know? What does it change within their life knowing you're a prostitute? Like, who gives a sh*t, what it's your life?
Don't let anyone try to intentionally stop you from your goals and dreams. They're people who will respect you and admire your talent, regardless of your past. As long you aren't abusing, using or hurting anyone to get to where you want to go in life, live your life.
Be well.

ReplyYesterday is history,
tomorrow is a mystery,
and today is a gift...
that's why they call it present .
Don't let anyone make you feel down!
ReplyI certainly hope so. But you know what people are like. They like to hold something over a person, and they don't give second chances. However, the saying is: nothing ventured, nothing gained so you do what you feel you should. Hopefully your past won't come out. You can change your name.
