i have a lot of stuff going on, and i'm not really ready to get back into the thick of it tomorrow. i wish weekends were longer. i wish they never ended, actually.
i have so much testing coming up, and i'm really worried about it. i know scores don't define me, but they do matter. this is especially because i've always been a "smart kid": i'm worried everyone's going to find out how much i'm struggling, and they're going to realize that i'm actually so much dumber than i seem.
not to mention, i'm also nowhere near where i need to be physically. i've gained a lot of weight, so not only am i feeling very insecure, but i'm also way out of shape for my sports season, which starts in less than a month. that's no good.
i wish i were more motivated to do something about that.
all in all, i'm feeling very unprepared and overwhelmed, and i don't think there's a solution. it's too late to fix anything. i'm just in way over my head.
i've tried introducing more organization into my life, but it's not working; i don't know what to do. i wish i had more time and control.
it's okay, though. i'm not excited for the rest of the year, but i know that i'll make it through somehow.

ReplyEven 5 minutes in something can make a difference. I had people tell me they didn't have time to do something, then they tell me of all the shows they watched, stayed up very late, and chose a lot of pre-made meals. I told them how just 5 minutes on something a day can make a difference. I think your unhappiness stems from having to be someone else, always striving to accomplish more. Is it a life you want? You can choose your way, and if something is distressing you, ask: is it the work, or the people you are around? There was a great article from "Psychology Today" that talked about how the education system became, "A place to show off, not to learn." Indeed, you are so much more than the sum of your actions and accomplishments, and definitely show more of you every day. In doing this, connections will feel more genuine, and they will like seeing more of you.
