I guess I'm not that scared of dying. I'm curious about what comes after. Will I be reborn? Will I go to heaven? Hell? Will there be an endless darkness forever?
Sometimes I think about it. When it really comes down to it, though, I guess I believe (or I'd like to believe) in reincarnation. It would be great to be a cat or a bird in my next life. I would even look forward to that.
However, what if I just stop existing? What will happen to my consciousness when I die? Will I be a soul floating in space, an invisible ghost, or will I not be aware of it?
The uncertainty of it is the main reason I'm still alive. If I just knew, I'd have already made the decision.
What if, when you die, you get stuck in your last moment forever? You never stop existing and you're stuck in time, unable to move or escape, forever?
Death can be terrifying. For some people, death can be a release. I wonder if you have the ability to regret ending it all after you've already died. If you're in hell or the underworld or the darkness, will you regret not staying a little longer?
Maybe it's best the questions stay unanswered. Then I'd never have the courage to end my own life.

ReplyMy daughter told me all about her past life when she was little. She or he was a person born in India who lived with her/his mother and grandmother. There is more to it but I am letting you know she was not a bird or a cat. But in The Bible there was a king who refused to believe in God so he was reincarnated as a bird and when he died he was asked if he believed in God and he said, "no." He lived seven lives as a bird until he admitted that he did believe in God.
