When I'm in bad place and on the verge of doing something stupid, I call my friend and ask them to just speak at me about anything. This gives me the chance to get out of my own head without emotionally draining myself trying to talk to someone about what I'm feeling.
Yesterday I made a promise with someone else that 'just talk at me would be our safe word, so if one of us was ever feeling crappy, we would be able to help bring them out of these thoughts.
Mental health is such a taboo topic, and many of us still feel uncomfortable talking about it, especially when its at its peak, so its vital that you can find measures to put in place to help you. Once your in a slightly better place, you can then start talking about what happened and caused this crash.
This method has saved my life, I know it won't work for all of you, everyone if different, but its a start,
But just remember you are loved, and these feelings dont last forever ๐งก
