I use they/them, but i might also use he/him or neopronouns? How do I tell what’ll work for me?

i've seen people say "call me they/them i wanna see how it feels" try that. ask people to call you he/they, and see how you like it.
Replyi agree with the other person, you can see how you feel when you're referred to that pronoun, see which you are most comfortable with. or you can always choose to use he/they pronouns as well. see which works best for you :] wishing you all the best!!
ReplyEnglish pronouns have always sucked! I've always wished there was a gender neutral pronoun to use when gender is irrelevant, or you don't want to divulge information. For example if I say "I saw someone who was really attractive. He said hi to me." then suddenly you subconsciously guess that I am a female, heterosexual. But that's beside the point if I just want to express the idea of an attractive person saying hi. Ugh. Sorry for venting. But I feel your pain. Whenever possible I just avoid pronouns. "I saw someone who was really attractive and who said hi to me." It's a bit more awkward to speak that way, but you eventually get used to it. Pronouns suck
Replyjust try them out! either ask a close friend/sibling/etc. to call you by those pronouns and see how you feel being addressed by them. if you find that they're comfortable and make you happy, use them!
ReplyThere is no requirement to choose your pronouns. I don't use em. When was the last time somebody used a pronoun instead of your name in front of you anyways?
