"I had to lose you to find me." Do people actually mean that when they say it? Or is it for the aesthetic?
That doesn't apply to me. More accurately, I had to lose the part of me that loved you unconditionally.
Lose that part of me that was obsessed and desperate for your approval. When you left and I lost you, you took a part of me and I lost it too.
I never felt anger towards you. Disappointment and sadness, yes, but never anger or hate. I suppose that's why you loved me too.

I think people mean it when they say that because in some relationships one of them only does something because the other person likes or even don't do the things they want to do just because the other person stops them from doing it ... so probably when people say I had to loose you to find me , they totally mean it
