and it's turning into a huge one. I go to sleep at 10:00 p.m., and I am awoken at 8:00 a.m. by my sister. Plenty of sleep, correct? 10 whole luscious hours of rest. But, for some reason, I cannot stay awake throughout the day. I'm always tired, despite having plenty of sleep. Is there anything that could help me stay awake? I'm suffering, here.

Heat of the Moment
I mentally regressed into myself as the sun rose from its slumber. The light warmed my retinas while the car started, bringing me back to where I came from. A s...

My homework is stressful.
I'm homeschooled (freshman in highschool) and I switched to online at the end of last semester due to covid. I met a teacher who knows about my health problems...
Maybe you're stressed? Or maybe you have an illness. Any other changes in your body aside from increased drowsiness?
ReplyWell, yes. I have many mental health issues, but other than that, no. I'm not sure what's going on. It's becoming a huge hardship in the family. They worry about my health and how I'm keeping up. They think I'm dying or something. Doctors don't even know what's going on.
ReplyHi there, the first thing I wonder is what you eat/drink in the morning because sugar and carbs (pancakes, waffles, bagels, even cereal) can give you a hard crash midway through the day. Sounds like your issue is more than diet, but it couldn't hurt to avoid sugars and starchy stuff early in the day? And drink tons of water because dehydration makes us feel tired also!
ReplyI don't eat in the mornings for that reason. I eat at 2:00 in the afternoon, and then 8:00 in the evening. I'm not sure what's going on. :/
ReplySometimes when you oversleep it can actually be just as bad and feel as bad as undersleeping. How long have you been feeling tired like this? What's your diet like? Does it seem to get better at certain times of day?
ReplyI have been having this problem for about six months now, and it seems to be getting worse, I'm afraid. My diet is healthy, as I am on a weight loss journey. I only don't feel tired right after evening meals, which is at 8:00 pm. All the other times, I'm just so tired. I've even fallen asleep standing up the other day.
ReplyHave you seen a doctor then? I wish I could help you but someone in person could do much better than me. Hope you're doing alright :)
ReplyI should probably do that. You're right. And thank you for checking up on me.
ReplyDo you snore? Ask the folks you live with. If you do snore, your body might not be getting enough oxygen while sleeping, hence the feeling of being tired throughout the day.
ReplyI do snore, actually. But that's only when I'm lying on my back. Since then, I've been lying on my stomach, and I breathe through my nose as far as I'm concerned. (I sometimes turn or breathe through my mouth in my sleep.)
