Do you ever wonder if you made one different choice how your life would of turned out. Or even if you can press restart and do it all over again who would you want to be or where would you want to be. Sometimes I think if I could hit the reset button I would of like to grown up somewhere with mountains and a lot of things to do outdoors. I think I would of lived in a small town where there was a main street and everyone knew each other. Probably would of skipped college and open a cute little bake shop or trinkets tourist would bring back to their families. Where the neighborhoods would theme their holiday decorations. In my spare time I would hike with my dog and be a really great painter but it was my hobby. My house would be super cute right near a stream so when i sat in my window seat I could see it. I think it would be brick and have an arched door with some stain glass flower boxes under each window and super cozy inside with a fireplace and really soft pillow and blankets. I also think my style would be different to like the relaxed artist look knit sweaters, leggings and boots everyday, oh and i would have a collection of quirky mugs.

If this is the life you prefer, look for and try to take advantage of possible opportunities to help make it happen. Do the best you can and don't blame yourself for set backs and disappointments. There will be some.
ReplyThat sounds like a beautiful fantasy. But remember it *is* just a fantasy. You can of course make it a reality, but that's where you'd need to do a lot of planning and work. My point is, don't sell yourself short for missing out on a fantasy life, because you're probably been working hard in your own way, trying to build something. It would be wonderful to step into a dream scenario where everything is laid out for us, but that rarely happens to anyone, so don't beat yourself up for missing a perfect life, that's like regretting that you never won the lottery lol. Keep your dreams alive, but figure out how to make them happen.
ReplyI believe everyone wonders "If I had done this instead of that".
We can't change our past, but in the future: life is 20% what happens to us, 80% how we respond; stay strong.
