I have ongoing anxiety and have had it for years I really don’t know what to do once it takes hold. I am unable to do anything productive and I am constantly over worrying. I have a dog and I noticed his gums have some red sections and the vet tells me it’s nothing serious so far but to me it seems like it’s the end of the world. At this point I’m too stressed to just exist. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t breathe I start crying every few minutes and I am just tired. I’m so sad and I’ve had a few very tough years and it seems like it will never end. I don’t want any more pain, I don’t want to feel used and unappreciated, I don’t want to lose anyone around me anymore I want to be happy. Why can’t I be happy? Do I not deserve it? I am so young yet my world keeps crashing down on me I want to smile for once and mean it.

Replydon't be afraid to ask for help. there are people around that care about you, and of course you deserve happiness! what a foolish question to ask. as you read this I want you to say it with me. "I deserve Happiness". this will pass, don't you worry. it might seem like the world is ending, but there will always be the light at the end of tunnel. the sunrise after a long night. the sun peaking out from the clouds. kee going friend, you are doing great, *pats head* your going to be just fine.

ReplyI feel you about having anxiety. Sometimes it just takes over and you don't have any control. Yes life does seem like its crashing down all on us. BUT PLEASE try and see the beauty in life. Take a deep breath and concentrate on something in your home. Get your mind off of the stress. Think how you can change your own path. Just have faith and keep pushing for better. You have a whole life ahead of you. All you have to do is make it through this storm!
What I do when I get really anxious is I try to tell myself I am not my thoughts. And I do an exercise where I try to take a step back and "watch" my thoughts. It sounds kind of weird, but it's a technique I learned through meditation where you just sit calmly and each thought that passes by, you tell yourself that's just a thought and then return to watching your thoughts go by. It's kind of relaxing and soon you stop worrying about each passing thought, you stop getting super involved in it. I'd give it a try, and see if it works. It also helps to pay attention to your breathing while you do this :)
