Going to a quinceanera

So I'm going to my friend's quinceanera but I have some questions about it and Google is no help. When I see pictures of courts they look all put together and they have their hair done and everything. She sent me a picture of the court dress I have to get but Idk what I'm supposed to do with my hair...? Or shoes...?? I'm so confused because literally the only thing ik about is the dress. In all the court pics I've seen everyone is wearing matching everything. I'm nervous to go because ik everyone is gonna be speaking Spanish like 90% of the time and I'm not gonna know what they're saying ALSO I won't know the majority of the people there. Big events like this are scary. I'm still excited tho

My advice about the hair would be that it’s usually done in some way, like an updo, and generally girls wear heels. But I would ask your friend and other people going what they are planning for their hair and shoe wear, as sometimes people try to match. As for the Spanish, I might try to find a list online of rituals that happen during quinces and write down the Spanish and English equivalents of related words. General rule of thumb is that knowing the top 100 most used words of a language will get you far (as well as how to ask for help). In Spanish specifically just knowing the verb will take you pretty far, even if you don’t know what tense they’re in. Good luck and have fun!!
