If you are reading this I would truly appreciate any advice you can give me. I am someone who always had 20/20 vision... until quarantine. I think last time I went for my eye exam I had -0.25 and if it gets any worse I will have to get glasses. My question is: do eye exercises actually improve eyesight? Research apparently says it doesn't but I read many comments of people saying their eyesight improved and so did their power. I mean research can't always dictate everything right? Can anyone please tell me if eye sight exercises improve vision? I've been doing them for a very long time but I don't think it's doing much because I'm always working on my computer. I would appreciate any advice on how to improve my eyesight... I am very desperate.

Hello,
Taking green vegetables can help.
Also walking on grass with bare feet.
And I don't have any idea about eye exercise.
ReplyOk thanks!
ReplyI'm not sure I've ever even heard of eyesight exercises before so I can't tell you if they work or not, but what's so bad about getting glasses?
Replythere's nothing wrong with getting glasses, everyone who has them looks great! I just personally don't want to wear them because i know I won't look good in them because of my face shape. I also want to try and keep my eyesight as best as possible.
ReplyI have worn glasses since I was three or four so pretty much my entire life has been seen through a lens. My eye prescription did get higher when I got older. Something you can do is try to take breaks from a screen or even stare at something at a distance for a little bit. My optometrist recommended this to me to help with my nearsightedness and headaches I began to get. Something interesting is that people who live in places where they may need to look further very often, such as a flat land or mountainous region may often have a much easier time seeing things at a distance because they are used to it.
ReplyInteresting, thanks for the help :)
ReplyIf these eye exercises you're talking about include straining your eyes it might actually make your sight worse. Resting your eyes from time to time and taking time away from screens can help. Be aware of how close you sit to screens and make sure you hold your phone a good distance from your face.
However I would also suggest maybe wearing glasses for reading things further away. This would mean you wouldn't have to wear glasses all the time just when they are needed. But if you're tod you have to wear glasses all the time then not wearing them will only make your sight worse. There are many types of glasses these days and I'm sure you will find a pair that fits your face shape perfectly.
