Having supportive parents is such a beautiful thing. I feel like I don't deserve to have such extraordinary people around me, I get so touched by the love I receive and I feel like I don't deserve it. Thank you mum and dad for everything and I'm sorry for every time I made you sad, angry, unhappy, disappointed because of me.

Just noticed I repeated myself many times, anyway, I didn't really think much, just wanted to get this out of my chest because I'm going through a mentally and emotionally rough period and they're really always there to give me strength and support, no matter what.

The unconditional love of parents does indeed have visibly positive effects. Anything opposite of this will have the opposite effect. The world needs more people like your parents.

Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.

    1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Everyone is on a journey of discovering (even uncovering) their true nature. How your parents are results from the lessons they have learned along the way. Lessons don't have to be traumatic to be effective. There is less harm and bruising if you learn from the examples to which you are exposed. You don't have to try drugs or to become an addict to learn that its bad for you.

Ask your parents what it was like for them when they were your age to get some perspective. You are blessed. Take advantage of this blessing.
