/TL;DR: Virtual graduation occurred today. Didn't get a single felicitation

I think the title pretty much sums it up, guys. I didn't expect or anything-- I'm not big on celebrations but. I would be lying if I said I didn't still want to find a heartwarming congratulatory message from known family and a couple of friends. I don't fancy the idea of posting my achievements online. Doesn't do anything for me. But I figured if the virtual grad was streamed public online by the university, I'd at least get a peep out of someone who recognized and remembered me. Instead had a slap across my face and got reminded of the truth that I ain't special. I just kinda felt forgettable and left out. And unnoticed. All I know is that I didn't like it. Just felt excruciatingly alone in the face of a meritorious event, more than the loneliness I felt in the duration of quarantine.
Told my parents but all they did was look once, then brushed it off. And my friends—dont get me wrong, they have their own victories to celebrate. But it's just that. I gave my congratulations. And nobody told me they're proud of me once.
