i am really into pottery but i haven't experienced making a ceramic myself. in the future i plan on making my own pottery studio, so i'm thinking of taking the ABM strand. but i saw a post where ceramic sciences and engineering is part of the possible jobs in STEM, i was really happy like "yes!! a strand where making ceramics is involved!" but then i realized that STEM is science, maths and i'm not really good at that part. like i actually REALLY suck when those two are involved. i mean, i still have like a year to decide but i want to be sure already. right now i can't choose between the two..
if i pick ABM: i can easily set up my ceramic business, BUT i'm an introvert and suck at talking to people
if i pick STEM: idk lol im gonna die ig but hey atleast i get to make ceramics

Are you financially secure? You may want to try one and find out if one works for you. If not, then maybe shift careers. Shifting is not easy though in terms of money. That's why I asked if you're financially secure. You never really know what fits you until you try it.
ReplyBut which one is really align to your chosen career? 'Cause that what matters.. Teachers are there to guide students so even you have some fear or not too good in some aspects, you'll learn it.
Me, I'm not that good in English and also in introvert like you but I tried to cope up with it..
You can do itπ. Just put effort and do your best.. the decision is on you.

ReplyI think both of it has it's pros and cons. If you choose ABM, but you are introvert then you would have to maybe change and learn to become more social, if you pick STEM then you have to take science and maths which you dont like and so you would need to start having interest and learning those subjects. Both the decisions require you to change something in your life. So maybe you can try seeing the long term goal, if you do STEM then it would be a qualification which will enable you to have more opportunities regarding this ceramic field you are interested it but if you want to fully focus on having your own studio since it's your future plan the you should do ABM. Anyway, all the best :)
ReplyNot sure about all that, but follow your dream. It sounds beautiful! It will always be hard work, but what isn't really.
