One time when I was afraid of doing something that ended up turning out great

Riding the zip line. The view was stunning, yes, but under us was a lake. To be more specific, an old crocodile lake!!! All my mind could think of before finally being convinced to ride was the people and thingss I would miss if the rope ever breaks and I fall on water and die of nervousness. And it was like 4pm? It was not really dark, but getting dark cause it's near dusk, and the water's unclear. And I'm also afraid of deep waters. The void under feet my is terrifying!!!!!!!1 So yeah after an hour of negotiating with me, and I was 12 y/o by the way, we both reached a conclusion to hold hands and chant a phrase we made. I don't remember the chant anymore, though. Then when they released us into open air, I felt goosebumps all over my body!!! I felt sorry for my friend cause her hands turned red after the ride, but during that approximately 10 minutes of zip lining, I held my breath until I saw how stunning the sunset was. I released a big "Woah" then started to dismiss my fear and admire the orange-ish view. We started chanting too LOL! After that, I knew I would regret not riding it. So I took lots of pictures before undressing the harness xD

It is good that you didn't regret riding this. I am in Australia and I went for a holiday to Darwin at the top of Australia where there are lots of crocodiles. There is a reptile zoo on the main street where I went. I was given a stick with a line on it that had a lamb's heart on it and I fed it to a crocodile. The crocs were behind a small see through fence and when I put my bag down near the fence one croc charged at me but couldn't get through the fence. I asked the attendant if the croc could jump over the fence and I was told that it could if it wanted to. That was a bit scary.
The next year I went to Cairns in Queensland in the top part of Australia and to the Daintree. There was a zip line there but I didn't like that so I went to a fruit tasting orchard instead and tasted different types of fruit. The danger there where I stayed were huge birds called casuwaries that are as big as emus and have huge claws on their feet and can rip a person's guts out with them. Lucky I wasn't near any.
