I need religious help
So, I Love God. For whatever reason idk part of me thinks He was always the parent I had since my parents didn't really care about me. I used to fast wed and Fr...
You sound harsh as I read this and I'm not christian.
ReplyI've hated religion before. I've been much harsher than this. And it got me nothing. Because in the end science and materialism can be as much of a smokescreen for hypocrisy, prejudice, and intolerance as religion can. Fundamentalists are foolish people. Even if they are fundamentalists of science or capitalism or communism. All foolish. But what I have learned is that people wouldn't abuse ideologies, religious or secular, if they had not been abused themselves in some way.

ReplyI know. I knew a girl like that itwas her way or the highway and if I didn't conform I was not acceptable to her. Needless to say we quit speaking because I wouldn't conform to the speaking babble which isn't biblical anyhow everybody who it happened to heard what was preached in their own language not gobble tee gook. Church is supposed to help people. Not cast out or make feel like you're not up to their level. Christ never condemned those who sought him. Whatever God is everybodys judge. But holier than thou acting people I cannot stand.
ReplyIt's not harsh, it's 100% true. Religion is man-made and just because you practice one religion over another in public does NOT mean you have true faith inside.
Christ Jesus gave humanity 2 simples messages, no religion required. But if it makes you feel like you belong to something great when you practice religion - then no harm done.
True faith does not require religion, and a practitioner of religion can be false on the inside.
a. Love God first and foremost.
b. Love your fellow-being as you love yourself. (Everything else cascades from this)
Replyright, and the right religion is the guide to do that.
