Highschooler here with not much knowledge on JEE (I looked it up and it says it’s a test). In the end, you know it’s up to you, but think about the following factors:
-Will this benefit me?
-Am I doing this for myself?
-Do I have time?
-Am I prepared?
-Am I happy with this?
-Am I willing to accept the outcome?
Answer is yes for all? (Especially the “am I doing this for myself”) Then go for it!
ReplyThe thing is that this is a competition between millions of student but the seats are only limited to thousands. I afraid that I might waste the years and can't achieve it.
ReplyYou can do it :) Just try, if you fail, it's ok. Take it next year and study every day for it
ReplyDude if your not confident that you might clear it...or you have even little bit of doubt...id say dont take a drop, but if theres somewhere hope...then take a drop and give your all but since its going to be tough id say dont keep any expectations...jjust concentrate on covering the necessary syllabus...and youve got to be really strong...since if god forbid ... you dont make it then your mental health shouldnt be damaged..after all thats THE most important thing.
ReplyIf JEE is what you want, and since this year exam is over, I'll recommend you to take a drop BUT only if you're ready to study till the date of exam and not procrastinate. If you're a procrastinator, has trouble concentrating for a long time then drop year is not for you. You should otherwise join pvt engg college. Dropping a year and in the end not cracking the exam will be hard for you. If you believe you can study hard during the drop year I won't stop you. I'm a second year dropper now for NEET, I couldn't do well this year since the sudden pattern change gave me anxiety and I was having constant panic attacks for over a month. If you're mentally stable and does not wish to take a second drop year but ready to study hard for a year, then this drop year is for you. Hardwork will definitely pay off. Don't keep doubting yourselves. Literally anyone who is consistent and absorbed in their studies can crack entrance exams. Just don't ask your friends who are preparing for JEE about what their progress is. During an exam your friends won't be your friends. They're your competitors and most probably will try to drag you down mentally by saying I have this much to complete, i don't know anything, I haven't learned anything kind of shits lol. Never tell others what your plans are or what you're learning at the moment. Also never ask others what they're doing. Focus on what you need to do and avoid any sort of conversations with friends or your classmates unless necessary. I'm talking from experience. Never ever ask others other than your teachers about how to study or what to study or search in Google "how to crack JEE in 8 months, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, 15 days or 1 day ". During drop year, you must only concentrate on the classes and talk with the teachers, anything more will seriously ruin your year. It requires consistency. Just believe in yourselves. You can if you want to and works for it. In the end of the decision is yours. Your life decision must be taken by yourselves and not others. But Good luck.
ReplyI'm actually in 12th rn. I haven't attended JEE yet. I'm giving JEE in 2022. But I feel like I haven't studied anything. Truth is I haven't. 2 whole years of 11th and 12th I have attended in online class. And as I was so distracted, I didn't attend online classes properly. I cheated on online exams. And I hate myself for doing that. Now I haven't studied anything. But I want to study. I feel like if I have some more time I will be able to study. So now you guys please tell me if I should drop an year after attending JEE in 2022 and attend in 2023?
ReplyOh, okay cool. It might be impossible to complete the 11th grade syllabus along with your 12th grade owing to the fact that you haven't studied anything. DON'T WORRY. Since very few months (i assume) are left for JEE I don't think you'll be able to cover the entire syllabus. but IT'S TOTALLY OKAY. You can take a drop year for JEE 2023 and follow what I said above or can choose to join a pvt Engg college or any degree courses. But sadly you might not be able to crack JEE this year since you've got to study for school too. IT'S OKAY. If you're sure that you will study during drop year then it's a YES from me but don't take a drop year to waste it. 👍🏻
Apply for VITEEE too..
ReplyThank you so much for encouraging me. Let me give a go to 2022 JEE and see how it goes. I'll do my best.
Btw, I want to study AI. Do you know what are the collages and entrance exams for studying AI?
ReplyOh, artificial intelligence. Well, don't think of this as a demotivation but specialisation in AI and machine learning is so hard. I mean, you will have to get CSE with AI and machine learning in a prestigious institute to be successful like what most engineering students dream about. You must be so smart in mathematics too. But yeah nothing is impossible. Give your best in JEE and try to get into any of the IITs or NITs and choose Btech in CS with AI and machine learning. All the best. Don't keep overthinking about the future. If your today is productive your tomorrow will be successful. So first focus on cracking JEE and later the course options :)) All the best dear, I'm cheering for you.
ReplyWhy do I have to take CSE with AI?
And thank you so much for taking your time to reply me.
ReplyBecause AI is not a.. what do i say, there's no particular course for AI. It's taught as a specialization in CSE, atleast in India. Idk if it's a major degree in abroad but in India it's not a major degree like there's no option to directly go and join AI class. You have to first learn python and various other programming language along with mathematics which are basically taught in CSE course. That's what I know. I'm not so sure about it.
