For as long as I can remember, I've LOVED food. Not like everyone else though, like a lot. Part of my struggle with food is growing up in a food-insecure home and also being limited by my parents t eating things I didn't enjoy. It would bounce back and forth between having the food I want in large quantities then not having it at all. I also dealt with having little to no resources and always feeling hungry. Now that I'm old enough to buy myself whatever I want, that's exactly what I do ... all the time. Now that I'm in a place in my life where I'm not the most financially stable, (thanks covid) whenever I have money, the first thing I wanna do is buy food.
Like today I was really struggling to function because I felt sooooooo hungry. The funds I have are specifically for household items and its been so hard to not spend any of it on food. That's so hard. I really struggled to not buy any food, but my desire to do so grew so much. This is a cycle I deal with constantly. If I give in, at times I'll buy more than I need and then feel disappointed in myself. Especially if I eat to feel like a food high. Today was a day of fasting (unintentionally) but I didn't realize how addicting this was for me. It's also hard because I desire to make major changes in my weight but its hard.
I don't know what to do from here. I honestly think I have a problem.

I relate to you too but I do think that it's a problem, maybe you could try talking to your doctor about it and getting advice? I have found that proper nutrition is helpful as well but like... its kind of hard to spend an hour making food when you could jus grab something out of the cupboard. You could also try to budget your money by figuring out exactly what items you need to spend and putting the money aside so you don't feel tempted to spend it
