There’s this girl that I work with, and I really like her. And she really likes me. With effort I know we could be in love. We barely see each other at work because we’re not scheduled together, but we leave notes for each other and call and text all the time. As friends. But we flirt a lot and she’s asked me out once (it didn’t work out because of schedule conflicts, but I know we feel the same way about wanting to go out).
I think our manager scheduled us separately because he’s a homophobe and knows we like each other and it feels weird to me because I’m going to be honest, I’ve never experienced active homophobia directed at me as an out person. It’s only ever been directed at other people or subliminally directed at me by people who suspected I was gay but didn’t ask.
There’s a lot of blockers in the way of us going out right now, because I still live with my Christian parents and I don’t have my own car, so they still attempt to control me. And I’m too afraid to stand up to them.

All I have for you is to try and find another job and another home. Ask the lady out and arrange times outside of work where you are both free or keep your relationship a secret from your boss and parents.
