One day a rock came to life and exclaimed, "My God! What is this?"
The tree nearby said; "It is life," to the rock.
The rock responded; "What is life?"
The tree said, "Life is the setting of goals and achieving them."
The rock appeared confused, "So this is good? Am I good if I do this?"
The tree even more perplexed confided "Good is to treat others as equal, life is different from good."
The rock stood still and remained quiet for a time. Eventually it said; "I think I am good if I desire nothing, set no goals, and achieve nothing. I think this makes me good."
The rock then lost animation and never returned to life.
The tree, somewhat irritated, muttered to the breeze, "A rock does not live and has no idea of good and bad."
