I really hope not all men are like this... I need someone to come forward and reassure me that I'm wrong for being afraid. My brother, the person whom I thought I could trust and someone who would protect me... should have protected me was the one who did it. Nobody knows until now and it's still haunting me. My sisters were victims of my dad, and nobody knows except the girls in my family.
I'm associating these events with the person I care abt... I love him, but I'm afraid he'll turn out the same as them. We've made love but I can't help but associate it now with what I've gone through. The desire in his eyes are suddenly frightening to me. His voice that tells me how much he appreciates me and wants me suddenly makes me want to run away from him. Idk what to do. Just remembering what happened in the past made me like this.

Replythere are thousands that havent been. there 8.5 billion people on earth. 17.7 million women, or 0.00208 have reported some form of sexual harassment or sexual assault. that pretty damn low BUT too damn many! no o e should force this kind of behavior on anyone…
ReplyI would recommend counseling. You may need help coping with your pain and your own insecurities that you are rightfully feeling. If the person you care about doesn’t know, you may wish to share with them what happened and let them know your fears. That way they don’t unintentionally hurt you and add to it. Best wishes. (PS, I am also walking in your shoes and know it is not easy. Hugs!!!)
