Hi, I'm a regular teen. But I feel terribly out of place nowadays. My mind just can't take in any studies since the past few months. I was once a kid who loved studying, and now I just can't concentrate, can't feel good about it...I bunk classes, miss tests and am in a total mess. I have a nice family, but their ideals are too rigid lately. I feel they are being toxic and I can't help it. I can't even show my emotions. My sibling drives me crazy. All I ever do to escape their company is scroll through social media...for 9 hours a day. This is making me feel uncomfortable and unproductive. I can't meet my friends, though they are the only people that make me happy. A little bit of fun makes me worry I'll be backto being miserable iwith my family and academics again. I have lost all motivation. I love my family, but they're turning toxic and I can't help. Specifically my father, he won't even have a proper conversation ever. I feel so drained, tired and irritated all time. My brain barely works. I feel weirdly out of place. I know I need to upgrade my life to be happy. But I know no way. I'm avoiding everything, everybody, but thats just making me feel more weird. I can't bear to see the people I love turn toxic. PLEASE HELP!!!

You can't control others and you're young so things are not always easy. How does honesty work in your family? Maybe it's worth it to say exactly what you feel and what the toxic issue is. Maybe it's not worth it all. I can't say for you/sorry.
Try to focus on the things you can control. Social media is mostly a waste...maybe limit that asap. I know it seems that's the place to be but it's lame, no one ever really achieved anything in life on social media. Even someone who is famous and gets $ off it...it's temporary and it's exhausting bc you basically have to pretend to be someone 24/7. I would dial that down and replace it with running/working out. Physical activity is a gamechanger. Get outside.
Read some books on things you're interested in. The internet is full of rabbit holes, follow a few and find a new interest. Covid is making it hard on everyone to focus/keep a routine and have a "normal" life. Just hang in there and do things one day at a time. If you wanna upgrade your life make a few little goals and try to achieve them. If you fail don't worry, keep trying or make different ones.
