My heart is beating erratically as I think about the future occurrence with regards to my new job I've gotten after more than a gap year. I don't know how to settle myself or calm down. I haven't slept soundly these last few days and there's some documents that might be unattainable from my previous employer. I also really don't think I'm suited for the job at all. Now I'm in the flighty mode, but I really need some stable career for now because I'll die without it. How can I calm myself? And should I still request my previous employer for that document? Oh, please can someone guide me, I'm having major social anxiety again at the mere thought of going back and talking with them, They're not bad at all, it's just me who isn't normal. Does anyone know how to cope with panic attacks? And how to do a job I've got no hard skill with?

How are ya goin' mate? I'm in Astraya (Australia) and I take tablets called Duloxetine and ridgy didge they're great for panic attacks. Fair dinkum! (meaning this is true). But for now play relaxation music to soothe yuself. Lie down and breathing deeply relax yuself all over and imagine that ya lyin' on a noice comfy raft and ya goin' down a river. Keep on imaginin' this and push out all interferin' thoughts that are to do with this new job, cobber. Ya'll be as relaxed and as calm as a floatin' bit of seaweed. Fair dinkum. See ya.

ReplyI hope you're alright Now. I understand how difficult you might be feeling. I used to have such panic attacks too one thing I did was think about my closest people and look at the clock. Thinking that as time ticks the intensity will settle itself. Everyone has different coping mechanisms, but you can try this when in need. And to avoid social anxiety, there's just a thing you should do, pull yourself out and start with simple chores like buying something from store you've never been, go on shopping and ask the store person to get you or help you find a particular colour or pattern of dress. This will improve your communication skills and it might feel it's too much but such exercises will give yoh confidence once you get out of the store. Learn from those bits. At this time it's only you who can help yourself, so take this opportunity and work on it. You'll do better! I've been at that place so these were things I tried for myself and did myself. It helped me to open up and talk confidently. And for panic attacks, I found a channel on youtube that's so amazing and works like therapy. It's called therapy in a nutshell. You'll find so many kind advice from qualified therapist. That channel helped me too, I think you'll feel calm after you listen how all of this works and how to stop them or cope from them. I might be little younger to suggest you these things, but I am putting my best intentions to help you out. Unbox your confidence, it's right there inside you. I wish you best of luck! Do the best you can, that's what matters the most! :)
