Hey guys. I can't take it anymore. I have so many cavity fillings, it is humiliating. Today, I believe I have discovered more cracks and holes in two of my teeth, specifically the first two premolars on the right side of the top jaw. I have been prescribed special fluoride tooth paste and have been diligent when brushing my teeth. Worse, I know this is my own doing. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to eat sweets, especially recently because I have been hired for a position at a job and my upcoming birthday. I like to celebrate by drinking a soda (one per day). Normally, I drink water, but I do deviate on these special days with the inclusion of one bottle of soda. Now though, I do not think I can. I feel as if every time I have reason to be happy, I am only knocked down, as if I was never intended to fruitful life. The answer is obvious, just do not drink soda anymore and avoid sugars. But I believe I am an addict. I have literally drank soda since I was a toddler. My soda drinking habits used to be considerably worse, as I used to only drink soda all day. But at present, I only drink water and only on special occasion to I drink soda. So as you can see, I associate soda with reward. I have condition myself to this habit. Not drinking soda essentially eliminates any flavor in my life. Yes, I have rambled on and to those still reading, I sincerely thank you. Threat not, I won't do anything brash, but I am sorely disappointed in my life. I will begrudgingly scheduling an appointment to visit the dentist, but I just can't stand these teeth! Why would teeth evolve such that they are exposed!? And with only a layer of enamel sheathing the teeth!? In essence, once you get a cavity, all that can be done is to fill it. Whereas most other bones have blood vessels which allow for some form of healing. I hate these damn teeth. They are the reason I choose to not smile, I can't stand the sight of them, knowing they off-white, stained by a literal lifetime of bad eating habits and soda drinking.

The Furry Individuals.
Some people just can't understand that all furries are different. All furries have dislikes and likings. All furries are individuals that make up the community....
Sound advice from a friend who also hates their teeth.
Bite the bullet and see the dentist.
Yeah, it's going to be expensive.
Get no wait dental insurance if you can make $20-$30 a month premium payments. It could shave thousands off of your bill.
Dental savings cards help too.
I broke down and got the Carrington 500 card to get rid of two abcess teeth.
Clove helps the pain go away.
The longer you wait, the worse and more expensive it gets.
ReplyThank you. I do regularly visit the dentist, so I guess I'm just to have to stop eating sweets and drinking soda altogether.
Replyu can always substitute the soda. habits r hard to get rid of but not impossible. u dont have to cut off sodas immediately, u can't. maybe try some juices, they're sweet n healthy substitutes. start off slow. teeth r a result of hundreds of years of evolutionary changes. nature's put efforts in makin em. i just think its selfish to blame ur teeth for ur actions. im sure a good dentist could help u out. especially with the discolouration. u can do it :)
ReplyI do know your teeth can be based on genetics such as how your relatives and parents are. Keep seeing your dentist regularly. Sounds like you could have soft teeth like do. I've had many fillings put in mine too. You should probably use act fluoride daily. It's what they told me to do. I understand it's why I don't open smile either.
ReplyWow calm damn my friend. You can eat as much sweets and drink still soda. First of all iam not a doctor but my experience is like this:
You want to eat sweets drink coke, just do it! But do it at once. I mean do not keep drinking soda during whole day. You wanna drink more cans of soda do it but one after another. Then when you're done drink a water and flush you mouth with water, (about this iam unsure but if still bad in your mouth on your teeth so you may use veeeery gently toothbrush but without toothpaste). As always never ever go to sleep before you brush your teeth and use dental wire.
In Short: eat/drink whatever you like, but when you're done keep your mouth clean.
