I am 15 and 250 lbs.
Today was the first time my sister and I went to an amusement park by ourselves. We were so happy to finally go somewhere by ourselves and it was supposed to be a perfect day outside. We were getting on the first ride and when the time came to buckle the seat belt, mine wouldn’t buckle all the way. A guy was pushing the harness down over my lap while he kept saying the seatbelt was literally off by a tiny inch. I got nervous and was hoping that it would click and the ride would continue as normal. But, we had to get off and get on another cart where, I’m guessing, was a bigger place for me to fit. He tried again but it still was off by a tiny inch. My sister and I switched seats to see if the girl on the other side could get me in. Luckily, it clicked and we had fun on the ride. I couldn’t help but get anxious and scared every time we got on a new ride after this though. I thought I was gonna have to do “the walk of shame” in front of everyone. We had the cut the day short because I was just too scared to get on any wooden coasters. We were also a little tired too. Those wooden ones usually are a little snug on me and her. I’m just so ashamed of ruining what was supposed to be a great day and turning into me not wanting to be embarrassed. That moment had really sparked a light in me and now I’m really trying to lose some weight. I’ve tried in the past but never had enough motivation to keep going. However, when my weight is getting in the way of my fun, that’s when I draw the line. I’d say most of my weight goes into my thighs and coasters are not really made for big thighs. If you’ve made it this far and have any suggestions on what I can do to lose the weight, mainly my legs, whatsoever it would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t have any tips besides the regular, stop eating when you’re satisfied and generally avoid midnight snacking. And of course, stay safe and don’t starve yourself under any circumstances. If you notice that you seem to be gaining/retaining weight in a way that doesn’t make sense for your lifestyle, it might be worth seeing a doctor over. But above all, know that no matter what you are a beautiful soul and deserve to love yourself.
ReplyShame and embarrassment are normal emotions and often motivate us to change our behavior. Losing weight will do wonders for your life. However make sure to take care of mental issues that are associated with your weight.
