what's it like losing your dog
well let me tell you
its as if you were to almost complete a puzzle
but are missing one last piece
now its only one piece
but without it, the puzzle is incomplete
unfinished, in progress
and that puzzle will never be complete
sure, you can try other puzzle pieces
but none will fit the same
none will complete you as that one piece did
losing a dog is the same
there will never be a dog that can replace yours
sure, you can get other dogs
but none will be your dog
your dog is like a piece of you
and when they leave
a part of you also leaves

Dating Sucks Bu*t Crack
I completely and totally give up on someone because we seem so incredibly out of sync. Ugh, I’m so sick of dating, I truly am....
How sad. But get yourself another dog.
ReplySending you lots of love and hugs <33 I know losing a pet is awful. I bet your dog had a very happy life with you 💞
ReplyIf you’re calling your friends dogs, they really aren’t your friend then are they? Call it what it is, and it is not a part of you that is missing, it’s the freedom to play in whatever way you were playing with them, hence they were a dog.
ReplyYou are 100% spot on. I had "that dog" and had to put him down 6 months ago. I think realizing grief has to take it's course, acknowledging that no dog will ever replace what you had with the dog you lost and knowing things will never be the same, but will eventually get better is a realistic approach to prepare ourselves for the next chapter or the next door opening in our life! Wishing you well!
