Why is it so hard to get out of bed?

I wake up when my alarm goes off but I decide to lay and rest some more, without school or a job, I don't have much to do besides watch tv or play games. Next thing I know it's noon.

I don't like waking up later than 10. So why can't I just get out of bed the first time I wake up? I choose to wake up later. Why?

When I wake up so late, I do not take my anxiety medication. I consiously choose not to take it. Why do I do that. I need that. Is it a self-consious punishment for sleeping so late? It clearly isn't working. I'm starting to panic more. My skin feels too tight. My brain repeats scary things to me. Now I can't sleep, I don't sleep all night. Then I sleep even longer, 1 pm, 2 pm. What next?

I need to wake up. I need to take my meds.

You sound as though you are too lazy for your own good. Pull yourself together and make sure you go to bed at the right time so that you wake up before 10. Then tell yourself to get up and take your medication. You aren't taking this medication so that you can make something happen like panicking more, your skin feeling too tight, and your brain repeating scary things to you. You do this because you are bored and don't have anything going on in your life. So discipline yourself and make yourself take this medication! It is very important that you do so. Bored people go out and start fights with their neighbours for something to do and you haven't even done that. Find other things to do besides TV and playing games. Try cooking something from recipes, or read a book, or write short stories, or write poetry, or do gardening. Take your dog for a walk if you have one, and play with it. Get a job as a dog walker for busy people in your neighbourhood. There are plenty of things to do. Get a hobby.
