So I chipped in for a close friends birthday present. Another friend of the close friend was organising collecting the money and purchasing of the birthday present. There was approximately 10 girls in the chat and I know the majority of them as I have gone to school with them, but Im not close with them because I didn't hang out with them. Anyways, I have just seen on social media that the group had thrown a party for the birthday girl and have gifted her with the present I had chipped in for. Myself and another girl who has also chipped in didnt know about this. I know money shouldnt be a problem, but i chipped in 3X the amount of what other girls chipped in, and I think I have the right to see her reaction when opening the present.
Do I have the right to be upset?

I’ll be like give me my money back and fuck you guys for not inviting me.
ReplyYes you do. I would say to the one who collected the money, "Oh by the way you didn't mind taking the money I handed to you so why wasn't I invited to the birthday party bitch?"
Replyof course you do love, you are always allowed to have negative feelings even over something small (not saying this is small bc that was messed up) but it’s about what you do with those feelings and how you react. in this case i think you should communicate how you felt to some of the other girls and maybe to the birthday girl and let her know you contributed into that and would’ve liked to been invited too.
