My brother isn't usually kind to me. He's a bully and he insults me, manipulates me, and blames me for everything. Today we were getting ready to leave a hotel with our parents and he was taking a while in the bathroom. As a joke, I decided to knock on the door about five times with equal pauses between each knock to annoy him a bit and to tell him we needed to go. When he came out of the bathroom, he aggressively grabbed me around the neck. I had to pull away from him.
I don't know what to do, he isn't normally physically violent with me, but every once and a while he'll shove me or hit me or something. He shoved me a lot yesterday too.
Our parents saw him grab me and kind of got mad, but they didn't really do a lot and the entire thing pretty much blew over in a minute.
What do I do? I feel so upset and trapped.

It may be beneficial to talk to your parents regarding your concerns so they can monitor the situation more closely. It would also be wise to keep your distance while your brother goes through whatever he is going through. If he touches you again, hold your ground and firmly tell him not to lay a finger on you anymore.
