Fortune teller
Last sunday, me and my friend went to a fortune teller just for the experience. The woman talks a lot about my career, my personality and the possibility that...
I had some major health issues (still have really) and it more or less ruined my life in a lot of ways. People would say things like that to me. Things happen for a reason, try to find the silver lining, etc. Honestly nothing ever really felt like much good was really coming out of it, and now as I'm doing better and moving on I still don't look back as if it was some blessing in disguise. Instead as I come out of it feeling human again I now go back into the world with a new sense of appreciation for what I have because there's nothing like almost losing everything to appreciate anything. Also, if anyone ever tells me I'm entitled or lazy or something I will clap back at them so hard with a "You have no idea what I've been through so don't you dare try it."
But this is all post event stuff. None of this is helpful when you're actually going through it. The only thing that helped me were when I was meditating and learning buddhist teaching about suffering. How we all suffer and suffering is just a part of life, and learning to pass through that suffering with empathy and compassion is the only true goal. And honestly, if you can learn to love and have compassion when going through more pain than you ever have before, that's when your heart can truly open up.
ReplyMe too! And wish you all the luck you need, it's going to turn out great!

ReplyCrying is not a solution. But if it helps release your pain when you are at a loss for words.... then cry your heart out. It doesn't need to make sense. But after you do, please pick yourself up and fight(sooooo hard) for the life that you want... the life that you deserve.
People may not know how to comfort you that is why they say those things. But if they can share in your pain, so yours will be a bit more bearable.... believe me, they would do this is in a heartbeat.
I hope you find comfort in knowing these.
I hope that you live a long and wonderful life.
