maybe it's your family name they are referring to? the way people were raised as children influences how they think and react as an adult.
ReplyI am a woman and my maiden name is a double sur name and I know that my paternal grandfather was very rich. He was then director of an oil company, the director of a real estate company, and director of a wood mill. Everyone on his side of the family have this double sur name. As a result of his wealth when he died he left a huge amount of money and maybe all of it to his daughter who was my dad's sister and my aunt and she paid off my parent's home for them. When My dad died my mother owned the house and when she died she left it to me and my elder brother and my other brother has life time tenancy in the house. I also own my own house and share ownership with my brother of my parent's house. My first name Is Welsh because my dad's family originally came from Wales. I guess my double maiden name relates to me being rich with assets. However, I am divorced and use my married name as my sur name. I ceased to use my maiden name when I married. My mother would only let me use my last sur name at school because she said using both was too posh and that was okay with me as no one else had a double sur name at school.
ReplyI am a woman and my maiden name is a double sur name which relates to my paternal grandfather being very wealthy. When he died he left his money to his daughter who is my dad's sister and also my aunt. With part of this money she paid off my parent's house, then when my dad died my mother owned the house. When she died she left the house to me and my elder brother and our other brother has life time tenancy in the house. So I own this house with my brother as well as my own home. My first name is Welsh because I am of Welsh decent on my dad's side. When I was at school my mother would only let me use the last name of my double name because she said using both was too posh and I didn't mind because no other kid had a double sur name. So I guess my name relates to me (because of my grandfather) being rich with assets.
ReplyIt's the name you go by when ppl talk to you.
ReplyYour name doesn't relate to your identity. How can it? Your name is given to you when you are born. Your parents and everyone else know basically nothing about YOU.
