I feel like I've messed up my life and that there is nothing I can do to change that. In the beginning of high school, I was an A student and this continued to 10th grade. Throughout high school and middle school career I was severely depressed. It wasn't until my 11th grade year that it really affected me academically. I missed almost the whole school year and I failed all my classes. Part of this was because the Covid-19 mandate was lifted and it was really hard for me to go back to in-person learning. Covid-19 made my anxiety and depression worse. Now I am a 12th grader and I feel like going to school is now pointless because I've ruined my chances into getting into a good college. I feel like school is now pointless. I am better mentally since I've been put on anti-depressants but nothing could change those grades I've failed.

Many kids developed mental problems because of being shut inside learning on line. You are lucky that you are better with anti-depressants.
You are right about schools being pointless because they are child minding agencies here to prevent anarchy and keep kids occupied. All you need to learn are reading, writing, spelling, and basic math. But for college, law school or medical school you need to have good grades. Anyway, never mind your grades. You can still find work so try to find a job that you will like and will suit you. Best of luck.
