Virtue became sin.

Back in elementary school, there was this poor boy with eye sickness. We would see liquids coming out of his eyes but it was painless for him. Parents secretly told us "Don't stare at his eyes too long or you will become sick!" in order to prevent us from doing an offensive stare at him, because really, we would stare at him offensively, passively. guess what happened, we asked the kid stupidly "Hey! sorry, but I won't look at your eyes while I'm talking because I don't want to be sick!" and the kid was absolutely offended at every chance.

Compulsive virtue could become sin real quick!
