My family is Vietnamese but I struggle to understand it. As much as I hate that I can’t understand my own language, I’m glad that I can’t. My parents would get into arguments. When they’re pissed off they yell in Vietnamese. So in a way it’s easy for me to tune out everything.

ReplyThat's a bummer. You'd think they'd try to teach you Vietnamese. Parents fighting sucks. Its a good thing for you right now though not knowing it. But maybe you can study it and surprise them one day.
