So I used a tampon for the first time yesterday, after I put it in I was a little dizzy but nothing much happened. When I took it out, I felt lightheaded and had to lay down for a little while. Today, I decided to try it again and after I put on the tampon I felt really lightheaded, I felt like I was about to pass out so I went to my bed, my ears where ringing really badly but after a couple of minutes it stopped. Should I be concerned about this? I was also I bit stressed while putting them in and out since I’m only 14 and I’ve never done anything like that before.

We will get through this..
Hello my fellow hurting mind. It's hard. I feel that way too, atleast i have for the past 2 years. But it's ok, we are fighting our demons and on some days we w...
you are not habitual to it. things will take time. consider for 2-3 more days and then do's and don't on your own hand. no one is forcing you. Your health comes first.
ReplyI think it's not meant for you if it is making you feel lightheaded then it's better to go for other options... I had somewhat similar issue I hated the stress I felt you know while getting it out it just didn't felt nice so I just stopped using it ... You can try some other brands as well if you really want to go for tampons only ... but if it still makes you feel this uncomfortable then I think it's not worthy at all ... You must be already in pain while having your menstruation cycle and feeling dizzy on top of it is not going to make it any better ... so rather go for those options which makes you feel more comfortable.
ReplyDon't give up on tampons. You'll get the hang of it. Relax and with practise and time, you'll succeed. It's worth persevering with tampons or mooncup as they will be more hygienic and comfortable while menstruating. Are you using applicator or non-applicator tampons? One type may be easier for you than the other. Don't give up so soon. You'll have decades of menstruation, so tampons will make your daily life more comfortable than sitting in a soiled wet pad for days on end. Believe me.
Replyyeah, dont worry thats actually normal! ok so that happens to me a lot, especially when i havent used one in a while, so next time just grab yourself a cup of orange juice or smth with lots of sugar so you wont feel lightheaded. but once you use them more often, you wont feel lightheaded anymore
