i’m having a lot of trouble controlling my thoughts and overthinking and anxiety like i just had basketball practice and i didn’t realize until we finished that i was playing way to rough and i accidentally rammed into one of my teammates and i feel so so so so bad and i grabbed onto another on instinct and i feel terrible am i overthinking? i cant tell at this point but i don’t want them to hate me for hurting them and i don’t know if this is logical at all but my thoughts are racing and i feel nothing but guilt so i’m in a very bad mood and i’m not sure what to do to stop feeling so guilty over such a small thing or maybe it’s not small and my worrying is justified idk

Im sorry you’re going through that. I think you’re suffering from anxiety which can blow things up that are in reality no big deal. I’d imagine even if your team mates were upset at it, they wouldn’t be for long. That kind of stuff happens with any sport. The best thing to do with anxiety is to distract yourself. Be around family and friends and people you trust and who make you laugh and have a good time. You can’t stop anxiety from happening. The best thing to do is to let it pass, therefor distraction helps pass the time. Recognize the signs of anxiety and recognize that you are feeling unusually anxious. That way you don’t get anxiety thinking about your anxiety because that can snowball. If you can identify it, you won’t be as scared of it.
ReplyIt might be small, i can't tell you cpz I don't know how much it was. But can you let the person know? Then move forward coz there's no point in overthinking if you can't do anything to make it better. Eont stip you thinking but it's good to remember ❤️
