before the start of school this year, i told myself that "i will revive my social life." for the past few years, i've lived my school life all by myself. i was a loner. that one quiet kid in class. since i transferred, i want to start a new. i want to change that.
it is still overwhelming at times, drains my energy. there are still times that i want to be alone like i used to be. but i have friends now :) and i think i'm getting along with my other classmates. i can joke around, and they even offer to treat me snacks at times (completely new stuff for me). they wave at me and say hi to me, which i keep on thinking about because they could've ignored me, but they still did it. it felt... good. i feel so acknowledged.
ofc aside from the number of schoolworks my profs are dumping to us... i'm doing well!!

ReplyI’m so happy for you! I can also sort of relate. I haven’t transferred schools, but since the start of middle school I’ve also always been that one quiet kid. I had the same goal at the start of the school year, and I have friends now!! Again, I’m really happy for you and I’m glad you’re doing well now.❤️
