I wish I had the body of a model. I wish I had a small waist with a big butt and decent boobs. I'm not heavy nor am I slim. I just wish I could feel comfortable in my own skin. I can feel the urge to stop eating, to throw up after every meal, and to over exercise. I hate it. I hate to feel this way. It's like no matter what I do my body will never be enough for me. I know I have the signs of an ED, I just wish I could reach out for help. My family doesn't believe in that. "Just eat" will be their response. I'm not one to reach out for help but if anyone has any advice or just words of encouragement it would be very appreciated.

what's wrong with me
I've through so much. Depression, suicide thoughts and now I'm trying to better myself. Not only on my own thoughts about myself, but thoughts about others. I'm...
come in reality . stop trying to look like a model to attract guys. you will get that one person when time comes, and he wont go for your figure, he will see how your heart is. its all that matters. body changes over time, heart stays the same
ReplyI've been there. I been so uncomfortable with myself because I felt like I dont look good comparing myself with other people. But hey, you do you. Do what makes you comfortable. If you want to be skinny like them, try to exercise, and instead of lessening your food have a diet. I tried work out when I felt really bad about myself. It made me feel positive whenever I see progress and changes, and it motivated me to be better. Also, dont compare yourself with other people. They are built like that from their workouts, diets, and routines, and also plastic surgery is common these days. Just do what makes you happy but dont starve yourself, when youre hungry it'll just make you a negative person.
ReplyI feel like that too, but I have acne, and I just hate how having acne makes me uglier
ReplyI think exercising is a good idea, you are becoming more active and can build your body to however you'd like. The main issue is like you said, your eating disorder, since your family does not believe you, I think you should reach out to therapy clinics yourself. Whenever you eat, maybe possibly put another idea when you eat like "I am eating to exercise". You're on the right track but don't overwork yourself during the exercise either.
You may not have a body of a model, but you can always try out different styles and whatever fits you, a model is a model because they found the right area of place they are in. Continue to eat at least an average meal with every ingredients in, not just fruits and vegetables. If you find yourself to throw up, try your best to calm your body, if you do indeed throw up after atleast a medium or a little less meal, this is an even bigger sign to reach out. If your parents does not believe you, ask older siblings, aunts or uncles. If no believes you, I think this only tells you to reach a professional yourself as hard as that may be.
I can recommend you, you could try out skincare, styling your hair, see clothing that could work, because clothing can also change the way your body looks. For example how low or high pants could be could create the illusion of a small waist. Like I said, your exercising is good but just keep a right amount and do progressive overload. You could exercise by lifting (this could create a bigger butt by the muscle built) and you could also make an hourglass illusion by building both your upper and lower body.
I hope I'm not too late, I didn't proof read this so many things I could have typed up could be confusing, good luck.
ReplyOh, my comments of advices was restricted for some reason, I'm typing this to tell you don't give up, wait a little the mod could accept the my comment of advice.
Majority of it is:
- exercise with progressive overload, takes rest days and build your glutes
- Some ideas on your ED
- Styling your clothes as they could change the way your body is seen
- Seeing what hair could change you
- Skincare, general self care
Goodluck, I hope the comment goes through
ReplyFeeling comfortable in my body. I have struggled so greatly with that.
Here is what has helped.
I changed my fitness goals: to how high I can jump, how quickly I can run a mile, how much I can squat.
Instead of just how it looks I focused on what my body can do, and it helps me be proud of my progress.
