The guy I like

I'm sixteen and I play badminton and sometimes tennis after school. My school divides the teams into male and female, but when we do practice it's usually mixed.

I have three friends that I usually play with, but one is going to Korea for her birthday, one is going to Disneyland for Thanksgiving break, and one broke her leg. So, this week I had no one to play with.

This guy's friend got sick so he stopped coming to practice, so he had no one to play with too. The coach told us to play together. And even though it was only a week, we became pretty close. I never really paid attention to that guy because I guess he wasn't really "my type," but he's so sweet. He has the prettiest smile ever. He has the most adorable dog. And he's so good at badminton.

I think I like him, and I think he likes me too. But I've never really asked anyone out, so J don't know what I should do. I don't have his number or his socials. And even if I did it sounds better to tell him in person. So when should I tell him and what should I say? Please help me!!
